To all Midnight Basketball Participants including fans!!!

The basketball officials will be enforcing the Midnight Basketball rules that have existed since March 2000.   We have instructed the officials to take charge of the games and enforce the rules below so that the Midnight Basketball Program can continue for years to come.   We have had various complaints of many players that have been getting out of control this season, and we hope that you all enjoy the game of basketball and just have fun with us.   If someone is having a bad day, we would love for you to stay home and come join us when you feel that you are ready to have fun!!!

Hope you all have fun and don't be surprised if we start ejecting players, coaches, or even fans on the stands for one full year.   Take care of your Midnight Basketball Program!!!!

Sportsmanship

All fighting is strictly prohibited and will result in suspension and or disqualification from the League.

After an ejection from the game the player must have a conference with the Program Director and their volunteer coach before they may return to play. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Profanity, drugs, alcohol, radios and tape players are strictly prohibited.

Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.

An ejected player or coach must leave the gym immediately. Coaches will have sixty (60) seconds to assign an assistant coach and leave the gym. Coaches not leaving the gym within the sixty (60) seconds will cause their team to forfeit their game.

Coaches must use good judgment, be professional, and must maintain their cool when coaching their team. They are considered player mentors/role models and should set a good example to their players. Parents should be proud of their son's coach.

Remember!!!! Coaches are Volunteers helping the players; they should not coach for personal glory or personal gain. Lets help our youngsters grow and teach them responsibility and respect towards others.

No taunting is allowed from any player, coach, and parent or from any fan.

Any parent or fan ejected from a game will have sixty (60) seconds to leave the gym or they will cause their team to forfeit their game.

No taunting is allowed from the opposing team coach or players towards another team regardless of the score.

No taunting towards the Basketball Officials is allowed whether it is jokingly or not jokingly. Please respect the officials during the game. You can joke outside the gym after the game, if the official is your friend.

Please act in a very Professional manner inside the gym during the games. We have many new "Fans" that may want to take a good impression of our Program.
